When you are booking any kind of holiday rental for the first time, there are certain things that you can do which will make it much easier to do. Below we provide some guidelines that should help you when it comes to booking say Tuscany holiday rentals for your next vacation.
Step 1 - Actually booking rental accommodation for your vacation in another country can seem to look like a very daunting task indeed. But it does not need to be, a quick search of the internet and you will that there are a large number of websites advertising holiday rentals along with some websites that have been set up by the owners of the properties that are available to rent.
Certainly, the advantage to be gained by directly booking the rental you are interested in with the owner is that it can save you money. In a large number of cases, holiday rental websites in order to make money themselves will charge you a fee for arranging the booking for you.
Step 2 - Look closely at the details and any photographs that have been uploaded on to the website to show you what the property is like. However, if you find there are very few details and no photographs available for viewing then move quickly on to the next holiday rental you are interested in.
Step 3 - Along with looking closely at the details of the property you need to ensure that the person you are dealing with is going to be professional in the way that they treat your booking. Look closely at all communications that they send you and if you spot, any obvious errors (grammatical etc.) move on to the next one on your list of possibles. Remember you will at some stage be handing over to them money.
Also, look and read carefully through their terms and conditions if they have this. If they do not then move on to the next possible rental on your shortlist. You need to know exactly where you stand when it comes to booking, paying and cancelling the accommodation.
Step 4 - The final stage when it comes to booking rental homes is the method in which payment needs to be made. Generally most holiday rental websites and those run by the owners of the properties themselves require a deposit (usually 10%) at the time of booking. This covers them for any problems and is normally non-refundable in case a booking has to be cancelled. Then once the booking has been made, the deposit paid and then confirmed, about 2 to 3 months prior to the vacation taking place full payment may be required.
When it comes to paying for your Tuscany holiday rentals, most websites will offer you a number of different ways to make these payments. The most commonly used are credit cards or by paying for the rental through Pay Pal. However you may find that we some of those where you are dealing directly with the owner payment can be made by cheque or a bank transfer instead.
